ASI (FPB) Zone-wise Distribution: All notifications clarify that vacancy numbers are tentative and liable to change without notice, at TSLPRB's discretion. Post Codes 11, 12, and 17 have zone-wise distribution across 7 police zones, and Post Codes 14, 18, and 19 are distributed across 2 Contiguous Zonal Cadres - candidates should refer to the official notification PDF for the detailed breakup.

Local candidature and reservation rules under the Presidential Order 2018 and the Telangana Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 2018, apply across all posts for claiming reservation benefits.

For all posts, candidates with a higher qualification than prescribed are also considered eligible. Distant vision must be 6/6 in each eye and near vision 0.5 (Snellen) in each eye, with full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid eye condition results in disqualification, as do physical conditions such as knock-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, varicose veins, hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing, and abnormal psychological behaviour.

An additional 5-year age relaxation applies across all posts for uniformed services (Police, Fire Services, Prisons, and Special Protection Force), as per GO Ms No. 87, General Administration (Services-A) Department, dated 18-05-2026. Age validation is not done automatically in the online form; candidates must independently verify their own age eligibility.

Age Relaxation (Applicable to All Posts)

Selected candidates undergo Induction/Institutional Training and are eligible for a stipend fixed by the Government during training. Regular pay applies only after successful completion of training and appointment to the regular post.

The notifications state that OC and BC candidates with local status of Telangana State must pay the fee "as designated in the Online Application," while SC and ST local candidates pay a concessional fee. Exact fee amounts in rupees are not specified in any of the notifications - the applicable fee will be displayed on the TSLPRB online portal based on the candidate's category and the post(s)/notification(s) applied for. Candidates applying for more than one post among the linked technical notifications (SI Civil, RSI, SPF SI, SFO, Deputy Jailor, ASI FPB, PC Civil, PC Mechanic, PC Driver) issued within 3 months of each other are eligible for a fee rebate on the common Physical Measurement Test/Physical Efficiency Test: ₹50 per additional post (in excess of 1) for Local SC/ST candidates of Telangana ₹100 per additional post (in excess of 1) for all other candidates Fee once paid is non-ref

Selection stages differ slightly depending on the post group. Preliminary Written Test (PWT): One objective paper, 3 hours - Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability (100 questions) and General Studies (100 questions), 200 marks total. Qualifying marks: 30% OC/EWS, 25% BC, 20% SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1600m run (Men)/800m run (Women), height measurement, Long Jump/Shot-put. The run is qualifying only for Post Codes 11, 17, 18, 19, while it carries marks for Post Codes 12, 13, 14, 16. Final Written Examination (FWE): Four papers of 3 hours each - English, Telugu/Urdu (both qualifying), Arithmetic & Test of Reasoning/Mental Ability, and General Studies. Common PMT/PET Requirements (All Posts)

Standard categories apply: BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Meritorious Sports Persons (MSP), and EWS, per Rule 22 of the Telangana State & Subordinate Service Rules, 1996. Women's Reservation (ASI FPB and applicable SI-group posts): 33⅓% horizontal reservation across all categories, including EWS. Special Category Quotas - PC Mechanic: 10% Home Guards, 3% Children of Police Personnel (CPP), 1% NCC. Special Category Quotas - PC Driver: 20% Home Guards, 3% CPP, 1% NCC. Local Reservation (ASI FPB): 95% of vacancies in each Contiguous Zonal Cadre are filled from Local Candidates of the respective zones under the 2018 Local Cadres Order.

No column in the application form should be left blank; incomplete applications will be summarily rejected. Once submitted, no corrections can be made to the application form.
