The selected candidate will receive remuneration as per the Uttarakhand Ayurved University Act, 2009, and State Government norms as adopted from UGC. Salary and allowances are admissible under the University Act, Statutes, and State Government guidelines. The appointment is made for a term of three years from the date of joining or up to the statutory age limit, whichever applies.

Provide strategic leadership for the growth, modernization, and global positioning of Ayurveda and integrative medicine. Forge strategic collaborations with national and international research organizations, healthcare institutions, and traditional medicine bodies. Enhance clinical infrastructure, hospital services, academic curricula, and digital governance within the university ecosystem.

Applications received are evaluated by a Search and Selection Committee. The committee assesses candidates based on their curriculum vitae, qualifications, experience, administrative leadership, and a comprehensive 3-year vision statement. The maximum age of the applicant at the time of recommendation by the Search Committee shall not exceed 65 years.

No vigilance inquiry, departmental inquiry, or legal proceedings shall be pending against the applicant at the time of submission and during the selection process. No case or legal proceeding shall have been instituted against the applicant before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India or any Hon'ble High Court, and all relevant litigation must be disclosed. Incomplete applications, applications received after the due date, or those without mandatory endorsements (NOC and Vigilance Clearance) will be summarily rejected. Canvassing in any form will be treated as a disqualification. The Search Committee reserves the right to fill or not to fill the vacancy without assigning any reason.
