UKPSC Tax and Revenue Inspector Recruitment 2026 – 29 Vacancies, Apply Online from 15 July

The total number of vacancies is 29, and this number may increase or decrease. The category-wise and horizontal-reservation-wise vacancy break-up, as provided by the government/department, is as follows: As per Government Order No. 48 dated 5 June 2023, the Tax and Revenue Inspector post in the Urban Development Department is identified for the disability sub-categories OA, OL, LV/PB, HH/PD, Deaf, LC, Dw, and AAV/AV. Candidates from other sub-categories of Divyangjan are not eligible to apply against the unreserved posts for this recruitment.

Mandatory qualification: A Bachelor's Degree from a university established by law in India. Preferential qualification (advantage given if all else is equal): Candidates who have either served in the Territorial Army for a minimum of two years, or obtained a National Cadet Corps (NCC) "B" or "C" certificate. Additionally, under the applicable qualification rules, only one of the following conditions needs to be satisfied by the candidate (as detailed in the notification): passing High School and Intermediate (or equivalent) from a recognized institution in Uttarakhand, OR being registered with an Employment Exchange located in Uttarakhand, OR falling under specific service/residency exceptions listed in the notification for personnel serving in the armed forces, state/central government establishments, or permanent residents of Uttarakhand living outside the state for study/livelihood. The selected candidates will be placed in Group "C", Non-Gazetted, Permanent post with a Contributory Pension Scheme, carrying a pay scale of Rs. 5200–20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2800 (Pay Level-5).

Fee must be paid only via Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. No other mode of fee payment is accepted. Ex-servicemen, freedom fighter dependents, state andolankari/dependents, skilled sportspersons, and Uttarakhand women must pay the fee applicable to their own social category (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC), not a separate concessional fee. The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. If the fee is not paid by the last date, or an amount lower than prescribed is paid, the application will be automatically treated as rejected.

Selection will be made purely on the basis of a Written Examination (Objective Type). There is no mention of an interview or physical test stage in the notification for this post. The objective-type examination follows a negative marking scheme: For each wrong answer, one-fourth (1/4) of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted. If a candidate marks more than one answer to the same question, it will be treated as a wrong answer and penalized the same way — even if one of the marked answers is correct. Candidates must fill in all details regarding vertical and horizontal reservation categories/sub-categories in the online application; no reservation benefit will be given if not claimed. All required educational and reservation certificates must be held by the candidate up to the last date of the online application. Only one application per candidate is allowed; multiple applications by the same candidate will all be rejected.
