UKPSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2026 - Apply Online for 25 Posts

UKPSC has announced a total of 25 vacancies for the post of Veterinary Officer, comprising 20 posts under General Recruitment and 5 posts under Special Recruitment (Backlog). The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per the notification. Category-wise distribution is given below. In addition to the vertical reservation shown above, horizontal reservation is applicable as per Uttarakhand Government norms: Uttarakhand Women – 30%, Ex-servicemen – 5%, Skilled Sportspersons of Uttarakhand – 4%, Dependents of Freedom Fighters – 2%, Uttarakhand Orphan Children – 5%, Uttarakhand State Movement Affected/Agitators or their dependents – 10%, and Divyang (PwD) – 4%. Horizontal reservation benefit is available only to permanent residents of Uttarakhand who stake a claim for the relevant category/sub-category in the online application.

Candidates must fulfil the educational qualification, age, nationality, and other eligibility conditions specified in the official notification to be considered for the UKPSC Veterinary Officer Recruitment 2026, as assessed on the last date of online application (14 September 2026). Selected candidates for the post of Veterinary Officer will be placed in Pay Level-10, with a pay scale of ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month, in addition to admissible allowances as per Uttarakhand Government norms. The post is classified as Group 'B', Gazetted, Temporary, and Contributory Pension in nature.

Candidates must pay the application fee online through Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. The category-wise fee structure is given below. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable under any circumstances. Fee submitted after the prescribed last date (14 September 2026) will not be accepted, and the application will be treated as rejected.

Selection to the post of Veterinary Officer will be made through an Objective Type (Multiple Choice) written examination, based on which a merit/proficiency list will be prepared. The exam consists of three papers. The total marks for the written examination are 800. A negative marking of one-fourth (1/4) of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer, and for multiple answers marked to a single question. No marks are deducted for unattempted questions. Use of calculators or any calculation device is not permitted in the exam hall. The written examination will be conducted at exam centres in Haridwar and Haldwani; if the number of candidates is low, the exam may be held only at Haridwar centres.

Candidates should not wait until the last date to apply and are advised to submit the online application well in advance. All applicable category/sub-category claims for reservation must be marked in the online application form; reservation benefits will not be given if not claimed. Candidates must possess the required educational and reservation-related certificates by the last date of application submission. After final submission, candidates can make corrections only once, during the specified Edit/Correction window (22 September 2026 to 1 October 2026), except for mobile number and email ID, which cannot be edited after registration.
