UKSSSC Recruitment 2026 covers two post categories, further split between Civil Courts and Family Courts, each carrying a different pay scale. A combined total of 259 Kanisth Sahayak posts are on offer, with 230 posts in Civil Courts and 29 posts in Family Courts across the 13 districts of Uttarakhand. Age eligibility is calculated as on a fixed reference date, and several categories receive age relaxation, which is summarised below. The age of candidates is calculated as on 1 January 2026 . Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years , i.e., born between 2 January 1991 and 1 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Eligibility requirements differ slightly for the two posts, mainly in typing and shorthand speed criteria. Both posts require a graduation degree along with computer and language proficiency. Graduate degree from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government. Good knowledge of Hindi and English languages. Selection is based purely on a written objective-type competitive examination, conducted offline or online, followed by document/record verification. This section explains the marking scheme and qualifying criteria. The written exam will be of 140 marks , of objective multiple-choice type, lasting 2 hours 30 minutes , covering General Knowledge and General Studies. A separate typing/shorthand skill test worth 60 marks will also be conducted; the detailed syllabus will be published separately on the UKSSSC website. Uttarakhand government rules provide both vertical (category-based) and horizontal (special category) reservation, applied as per the roster supplied by the recruiting department. Key conditions to note: EWS reservation is available only to candidates not already covered under SC/ST/OBC reservation, and the EWS certificate must be issued between 1 April 2026 and the application closing date (6 July 2026), based on financial year 2025-26 income, and must remain valid for FY 2026-27. OBC certificates remain valid for 3 years from the date of issue and must be valid up to the last date of application.
