As per the notification, no application or fee will be accepted after 6 November 2026. The application printout cannot be generated until the fee is adjusted/confirmed by the bank; candidates must ensure this adjustment is completed by 6 November 2026, or at the latest within 7 days thereafter, i.e. by 13 November 2026. Application details can also be amended during this window, subject to the restrictions described in the Important Instructions section below.

A total of 412 posts are on offer, as per Table-1 of the notification. Vacancy numbers may increase or decrease as per the latest reservation policies and the requisitioning department's confirmation. Of the total, 368 posts (142 Special Selection + 226 Regular Selection) are for Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan evam Pradeshik Vikas Dal Adhikari, and 44 posts (22 + 22) are for Vyayam Prashikshak. "Special Selection" rows represent a separate selection quota under which only SC, ST, and OBC vacancies are shown (UR and EWS columns are nil for these rows), as per the department's requisition. "H.H." denotes Hard of Hearing, the disability sub-category notified for these posts as per Table-2 of the notification.

Horizontal Reservation (Table-2)

Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET)-2025 and received a PET-2025 score card issued by the Commission are eligible to apply for this Main Examination. Shortlisting for the Main Exam is based on merit using the normalised PET-2025 score. Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Economically Weaker Sections of Uttar Pradesh is applicable as per the Uttar Pradesh Government's prevailing notifications and the requisition received from the department. EWS candidates must hold an EWS certificate, issued between 1 April 2026 and the application closing date (6 November 2026), based on income for financial year 2025–26, valid for financial year 2026–27, in the prescribed format. Reservation for Divyangjan is governed by Uttar Pradesh's Divyangjan Empowerment Section-3 government orders, under which 4% horizontal reservation

As per Rule 10 of Part-4 of the Uttar Pradesh Yuva Kalyan Vibhag Kshetriya Yuva Kalyan evam Pradeshik Vikas Dal Adhikari and Vyayam Prashikshak Subordinate Service Rules, 2017, candidates for direct recruitment must have attained 21 years of age and not exceeded 40 years of age as on 1 July of the relevant calendar year. Higher age relaxation is available to candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and such other categories as may be notified by the Government from time to time, to the extent specified in those notifications. Minimum Physical Standards

Dependants of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, Divyangjan, and Outstanding Sportsperson candidates pay the fee applicable to their original base category (General/OBC/SC/ST) as listed above. This ₹25 fee covers only the current application stage. As stated in the notification, the fee for the Main Examination itself will be payable separately, only by candidates shortlisted for the Main Exam, before they download their Main Exam admit card - the exact Main Exam fee amount was not specified in the portion of the notification reviewed for this article, so shortlisted candidates should check the official website for the applicable amount when the time comes.

As stated in the notification, the basis of selection is the written (Main) examination . The minimum physical standards and the Physical Efficiency Test described below are qualifying in nature; candidates who clear these are shortlisted, but the final merit list is prepared strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. The written exam consists of a single objective-type, multiple-choice paper of 2 hours (120 minutes) duration. Each question carries 1 mark, and there is a negative marking provision of 25% (i.e. one-fourth) of the marks allotted to a question for each wrong answer. Candidates must possess the required essential qualification(s) and other eligibility conditions, and fall within the prescribed age limit, by the application closing date (6 November 2026). Candidates seeking reservation/age relaxation benefits must obtain the relevant caste/reservation certificate, in the prescribed format, issued by a competent authority on or before the date specified in the notification, and must produce it to the Commission when required. EWS category applicants must hold an EWS certificate issued between 1 April 2026 and 6 November 2026 (the application closing date), based on income for financial year 2025–26, valid for financial year 2026–27, in the prescribed format. Candidates must indicate their post preference at the time of document scrutiny; the Commission will attempt to allot posts as per preference, subject to availability, seniority, educational qualif
