Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Civil Servant Recruitment 2026 – 118 Vacancies, Apply by 15 July

Vijayapura Municipal Corporation is recruiting 118 Civil Servant posts, last date 15 June 2026.

The notification covers 118 Pourakarmika (civil sanitation worker) posts under Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike. Note: As per the notification, up to 10 posts out of the total are reserved for Manual Scavengers (male/female/transgender) identified under the Manual Scavengers Act within Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike or their family members. Candidates must satisfy all of the following eligibility conditions to apply for Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Pourakarmika recruitment 2026. As on the date of this public notification, the candidate's minimum age must be 18 years and the maximum age must not exceed 50 years . Candidates must have previously worked in Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike as a Pourakarmika, Loader, UGDS Health Worker, Cleaner, or Health Worker on an outsourcing/daily-wage/contract basis for at least one year prior to the date of this public notification. All candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100 at the time of submitting their application. Applicants should note that the fee receipt issued by Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike must be collected and retained as proof of payment. Payment is made at the Municipal Corporation office itself. Important: The application fee once paid at the Mahanagara Palike office is non-refundable. The receipt must be attached to the application.

The selection for Vijayapura Municipal Corporation Pourakarmika posts follows a priority-based direct recruitment method. There is no written examination; selection is based on prior service credentials and the defined priority order below. First Priority: Candidates who, prior to the date of this notification, have been working as Pourakarmika, Loaders, UGDS Health Workers, Cleaners, or Health Workers on outsourcing/daily-wage/contract basis in Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike for at least one year. Second Priority: Family members (one member) of Pourakarmika workers who died while on outsourcing/daily-wage/contract duty due to COVID-19 or other reasons. Third Priority: Candidates with hands-on experience working in Vijayapura Mahanagara Palike's Solid Waste Management, Public Toilet, and Zero Waste Management units as local sanitation workers. Selected candidates must be aware of the following service conditions before applying. These conditions govern the nature of employment and any future service benefits. Selected Pourakarmika will be paid the minimum wage revised from time to time by the Labour Department, along with PF and ESI benefits. Selected candidates are appointed on a temporary basis. They are not entitled to any benefits applicable to permanent employees and cannot claim regularization or permanent employment individually or through unions, or approach courts for the same. (Candidates must submit a Notary Affidavit to this effect before appointment, as directed by the Commissioner, Directorate of Municipal Administration, Bengaluru.)
