Visakhapatnam Port Authority has announced a total of 20 Trade Apprentice placements across different ITI trades. The vacancy details are given below: The notification mentions a total of 20 Apprentice placements with a training period of one year for each trade.

Candidates can submit their online applications through the Apprenticeship India portal from 24 August 2026. The last date for applying is 23 September 2026.

Candidates must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from a recognised institute. The trade-wise qualification requirements are as follows: Welder - Passed ITI in Welder trade. Electrician - Passed ITI in Electrician trade. Fitter - Passed ITI in Fitter trade. Motor Mechanic - Passed ITI in Motor Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) trade. Electronics - Passed ITI in Electronics (Mechanic) trade. The trade-wise qualification details are provided in the official notification table. Candidates should have completed a minimum age of 14 years as on 31 August 2026.

The engagement of Trade Apprentices will be made purely on the basis of merit. Selection will be based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in ITI. Merit-based selection according to ITI marks. Shortlisted candidates will be called for certificate verification. Trade allotment will be decided by the Head of Department.
