Pearson Memorial Hospital is the hospital of Visva-Bharati at Santiniketan, in Birbhum district, West Bengal (PIN-731235). The Chief Medical Officer runs it, and this recruitment is handled by that office.

Applicants must be Indian citizens. The notice says people living in West Bengal are preferred. No Dearness Allowance is paid. Age limit: Not exceeding 45 years. Essential qualifications (mandatory): MBBS from any recognised university. MD in Radio Diagnosis or equivalent from any recognised medical institute. Permanent registration with the West Bengal Medical Council. Desirable (preferred, not mandatory): At least one (01) year of experience after passing the MD or equivalent examination. Applications will be shortlisted. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and the call will be sent to the email ID given in the application. The Competent Authority will not accept any further claim for an interview.

Contract period: The engagement is purely on contract. It starts with six months from the date of joining or lasts until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier. Extension: The contract may be extended from time to time if the Authority is satisfied with the candidate's service and no permanent candidate has filled the post. Termination: Either side may end the contract at any time by giving at least 15 days' notice. Working hours: The post is part-time: one session of 03 (three) hours a day, 06 (six) days a week. Duties: As assigned by the Authority. No claim to a regular post: The contract employee has no claim or right to regular engagement in any post at Visva-Bharati. No regular-employee benefits: There is no Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Attendance treatment, seniority or promotion. Other benefits given to regular Government servants also do not apply.
