Options After Seat Allotment - Freeze, Float, or Withdraw

• Accept and Freeze- Pay the seat acceptance fee and download the allotment letter. This confirms your admission at the allotted institute, subject to physical document verification, and you will not participate in further allotment rounds.
• Accept with Upgradation ("Upgradation Yes")- Pay the acceptance fee and download the provisional letter, but remain in the running for a better college or branch in Round 2 or the mop-up round. If you get upgraded, your earlier seat is releasing.
• Do Nothing- If you take no action, you are simply not considered for admission in the current allotment cycle, and your candidature effectively lapses for that round.

Seat Acceptance Fee and Reporting Process

Candidates who wish to confirm their allotted seat must complete an online payment before the deadline, followed by physical reporting to the allotted institute for document verification.

• The seat acceptance fee is Rs. 5,000, payable online via net banking, debit card, or credit card.
• After payment, download the provisional seat allotment letter -this is mandatory for reporting.
• Report to your allotted institute's reporting centre between July 7 and July 11, 2026, with original documents and self-attested photocopies for verification.
• Admission is confirmed only after successful physical verification at the institute; the online allotment letter is provisional until then.

What Happens If You're Not Allotted a Seat in Round1?

Candidates who do not receive a seat in Round 1 automatically remain eligible for Round 2 (July 21 result) without needing to register again, since a single counselling registration covers all rounds. Those who missed registering earlier, or who did not accept a seat in Rounds 1 and 2, can still join the mop-up round, for which fresh registration and choice filling open from July 24 to 26, with the allotment result declared on July 28, 2026.
