AAI has announced Graduate and Diploma Apprentice positions in various disciplines including Finance, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Human Resources. The number of vacancies mentioned in the notification is tentative and may be reduced or increased according to organisational requirements.

Candidates applying for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 must fulfil the prescribed educational qualification, age limit and other eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification. The recruitment is open for Degree and Diploma holders in various disciplines. Candidates must be domiciles of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh or the Union Territory of Diu and should reside near the respective airport locations listed under Airports Authority of India Western Region.

The educational qualification requirement differs according to the Graduate Apprentice and Diploma Apprentice discipline.

Degree/Diploma candidates should possess a full-time regular four-year Degree in Engineering or a full-time regular three-year Diploma in the relevant discipline from an AICTE-recognised institution. Candidates must have secured minimum 50% marks in aggregate. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum required marks are 45%. Candidates who have passed Degree/Diploma on or after 01 April 2022 are eligible to apply. Candidates who have completed more than five years from the date of passing the qualifying examination as on the joining date will not be eligible. Candidates appearing in the final year examination and awaiting results may also apply, subject to fulfilling the required qualification at the time of joining.

The age limit for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 is calculated as on 31 July 2026 .

Selected apprentices under AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will receive a monthly stipend during the one-year apprenticeship training period.

The selection process for AAI Apprentice Recruitment 2026 will be based on the percentage of marks obtained by candidates in their qualifying examination. Shortlisting of candidates based on percentage of marks in the qualifying examination. Interview and verification of certificates/testimonials. Submission of Certificate of Medical Fitness from a Gazetted Government Medical Officer or Medical Officer of a Government Undertaking at the time of joining. Police verification certificate from the local area of residence. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/document verification through their registered email ID only.

Apprentices must undergo training at the notified airports/establishments. Requests for change in training location will not be accepted. Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship, terminated apprenticeship midway, or are currently undergoing apprenticeship with another organisation or AAI at the same qualification level are not eligible. Candidates having one year or more training/job experience after attaining the essential qualification are not eligible for apprenticeship. AAI will not provide any regular employment guarantee after completion of apprenticeship training.
