All 27 posts are open only to serving government employees eligible for deputation. Eligibility differs by post, based on parent cadre, grade pay, and years of regular service, as detailed below. A medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule, or Part II of the Third Schedule, to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (candidates with Part II/Third Schedule qualifications must also satisfy Section 13(3) of the Act). (Masters in Hospital Administration) or an equivalent PG degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
