Andhra University Post Doctoral Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 10 Posts

There are a total of 10 Post Doctoral Fellow positions available across various colleges and departments.

The PDF applicant should be an Indian Citizen. The PDF applicant must have obtained a PhD degree as per UGC norms from a recognized University with first class (in terms of grades, etc) in all preceding levels and a good academic record throughout. The applicant should have completed PhD within the past 5 years on the last date of submission of application to the institution and must be a Ph.D awardee from other Universities or institutes of national importance.

The upper age limit for the fellowship is 35 years on the date of submission of application; age will be calculated by taking the date of closure of the respective call.

There is no provision to recruit research personnel under the scheme. Contingency expenditure will be reimbursed subject to submission of bills and approval.

The notification does not mention any application fee.

The selection process includes shortlisting of eligible candidates by a committee based on merits and the proposal submitted, followed by an interview and research proposal presentation before the selection committee.

The Post Doctoral Fellowship is a full-time, non-transferable, temporary position only tenable in Andhra University. Fellows must not receive any other fellowship or salary from any Government or Non-Government source during the tenure. Applicants currently in regular employment will not be considered; temporary researchers must relinquish current roles on lien if selected. The initial tenure is one year, extendible for one more year (total 2 years) based on performance. IP rights out of research work done during this term will be in the name of Andhra University and the researcher/co-authors.
