The Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesman Recruitment 2026 notification lists 354 tentative vacancies across 18 trades. Warrant Officer (Cipher) has the highest number of vacancies with 124 posts, followed by Rifleman (Electrical Fitter Signal) with 32 posts.

Assam Rifles Age Relaxation 2026

The Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesman Recruitment Rally 2026 application fee is Rs. 100 for candidates required to pay the fee. SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted. Candidates may pay through the online payment facility or the prescribed SBI Bank Challan option. Payment receipts must be retained for verification during the recruitment rally.

The Assam Rifles recruitment process consists of several stages to assess physical fitness, technical knowledge, trade skills and medical eligibility. Initial document verification. Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Physical Standard Test (PST). Computer Based Test (CBT). Trade Skill Test. Document Verification. Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Review Medical Examination (RME), where applicable. Candidates qualifying the preliminary physical and document checks will be considered for further stages. The Trade Skill Test is qualifying in nature. Shortlisting is based on CBT merit and the applicable recruitment conditions.

The Physical Efficiency Test requires candidates to complete the prescribed running distance within the qualifying time.

The Physical Standard Test includes height, chest and weight measurements. Relaxed standards apply to eligible candidates from specific regions and tribal categories. Weight must be proportionate to height and age according to the prescribed medical standards. Candidates claiming a physical standard relaxation must produce the required supporting certificate.

The Assam Rifles Technical and Tradesman Computer Based Test will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying 100 marks. The examination duration is two hours, and negative marking will apply. The question paper will be based on the Food Safety Officer syllabus prescribed by the recruiting department.

Assam Rifles CBT Minimum Qualifying Marks

Shortlisted candidates must undergo the Trade Skill Test relevant to their applied post. The test consists of practical assessment of the required technical or vocational skills. The Trade Skill Test is qualifying in nature. Candidates must pass this stage to remain eligible for further recruitment formalities.
