Candidates should note that this recruitment has run in two stages - the department-level application/physical test in 2025, and the CGSSB written exam registration now open in 2026.

Physical eligibility standards specified in the original notification (height, chest measurement) apply to eligible posts as per the department's rules: minimum height 168 cm for men and 153 cm for women; chest 81 cm unexpanded/86 cm expanded (76 cm/81 cm for ST candidates), with a minimum 5 cm expansion. Women candidates are exempt from this physical eligibility test. Candidates must also meet the medical/vision standards specified in the notification. Eligibility should be read post-wise; a candidate is eligible only if they meet the specific qualification listed against that post, not merely "a" qualification in general.

Note that two separate fees applied at two different stages of this recruitment - the department-level application fee paid in 2025, and the current CGSSB written-exam fee. Fee for the written exam must be paid online. Per the Chhattisgarh General Administration Department circular dated 21.04.2025, Chhattisgarh local-resident candidates who appear for the written exam will have their exam fee refunded to the same bank account used for payment, after the result is declared.

Selection for these posts follows a multi-stage process combining a physical efficiency test, a written exam, and (for driver posts) a trade test. Application scrutiny: Only candidates meeting all eligibility conditions are permitted to the physical efficiency test stage. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) - completed: Conducted by the department for the 7 non-Station-Officer posts, out of 100 marks; General category candidates required a minimum of 50 marks, SC/ST/OBC candidates a minimum of 40 marks. Events included 100m Race, Long Jump, Shot Put, and Pull-ups/Beam-bar (25 marks each). Candidates who qualified were forwarded to CGSSB for the written exam stage. Caste, date of birth, local residence, and educational qualification certificates are not to be attached with the online application; all certificates will be verified later by the appointing authority, and the candidate is solely responsible for the accuracy of information submitted. A valid email ID is mandatory for every applicant. The admit card will be uploaded on the CGSSB website approximately 7 days before the exam and must be downloaded from the candidate's profile; it will not be sent by post. Candidates must reach the exam centre at least 2 hours before the exam for identity verification and frisking; the main gate closes 30 minutes before the exam start time (i.e., 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM exam), after which no entry is permitted. Candidates must carry the admit card, a black or blue ballpoint pen, and an original photo ID (Voter ID, Driving Licence, PAN Card, or Aadhaar Card).
