The 36 vacancies are spread across three posts under the Food and Drug Administration Department, Chhattisgarh, reserved exclusively for local residents of the state. UR stands for Unreserved, SC for Scheduled Caste, ST for Scheduled Tribe, and OBC for Other Backward Classes. As per Chhattisgarh Government policy, 30 percent horizontal reservation applies for women, 10 percent horizontal and compartment-wise reservation for Ex-Servicemen, and 7 percent horizontal reservation for persons with disabilities across all advertised posts. The number of vacancies is subject to change as per the notification.

These posts are open only to local residents (domiciles) of Chhattisgarh state. Candidates who are not local residents of Chhattisgarh are not eligible to apply for direct recruitment to these posts.

Age is reckoned as on 01.01.2025 for all three posts. Namuna Sahayak: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years Lab Assistant (Aushadhi): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years Lab Assistant (Khadya): Minimum 18 years, Maximum 30 years Local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh are eligible for 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit, that is, up to 35 years. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, and Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) are eligible for a further 5 years relaxation in the upper age limit. As per the Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997, women candidates are eligible for a maximum of 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit. Upper age relaxation for local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh is also subject to time-to-time notifications issued by the General Administration Department.

All three posts, Namuna Sahayak, Lab Assistant (Aushadhi), and Lab Assistant (Khadya), carry the same pay scale. Selected candidates will be appointed on a 3-year probationary period as per Chhattisgarh Civil Service rules.

Fee must be paid online at the time of application submission. As per Chhattisgarh Government norms, local resident candidates of Chhattisgarh who appear for the examination will have their exam fee refunded to the same bank account used for payment, after the declaration of results.

Selection for all three posts will be made through a written examination conducted by CGSSB, followed by document verification and medical fitness checks by the department. The written exam will be a single question paper of 100 marks, consisting of 100 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark. Candidates will get 2 hours to attempt the paper. Each question has four options, and the correct option must be marked on the OMR sheet using a blue or black ballpoint pen. Negative marking applies: 1/4 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
