CSIR NET December 2026 Notification - Overview

National Testing Agency (NTA) released the CSIR NET December 2026 Notification on 7 October 2026. Online registration started on the same day and will close on 5 November 2026 at 11:50 PM. Candidates can also submit applications from 6 to 9 November 2026 with an additional late fee of ₹500. The examination will be held on 19, 22 and 27 December 2026.

How to Apply for CSIR NET December 2026

• Visit the official CSIR NET website at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
• Open the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 registration facility.
• Complete the registration process with the required candidate information.
• Fill in the application form and provide the requested academic and examination details.
• Upload the required documents according to the instructions in the information bulletin.
• Pay the applicable examination fee through the permitted online payment method.

CSIR NET December 2026 - Important Instructions

• Exam dates: NTA has announced the exam for 20 and 21 December 2026 in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
• Registration: The application form is not yet released. Apply only through the official NTA site (csirnet.nta.nic.in) and watch for the "Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026: Registration" link. Check the information bulletin for eligibility, fee, and the correction window once it is published.
• Medium of exam: The exam is offered in English and Hindi. Choose your medium carefully while filling the form.
• Exam centre: Once an exam centre is allotted, it cannot be changed. Select your city preferences carefully.
• Exam day: The admit card is mandatory for entry. It carries your roll number, venue, reporting time, and instructions. Reach the centre early, read the on-screen instructions before starting, and follow the invigilator's directions.
