Internship duration ranges from a minimum of 4 weeks to a maximum of 6 months; only those completing the full 6 months are eligible for the stipend. Interns may request an extension of their internship period, subject to the overall 6-month limit; such requests will be reviewed by the laboratory based on financial and infrastructure feasibility. Interns will be bound by the provisions of the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923, and DRDO's rules and regulations, and will only be granted access to non-classified areas. Interns must not disclose or publish any restricted/confidential DRDO-related information on any platform, including newspapers, periodicals, or social media. Any breach of security rules or laboratory regulations may lead to termination of the internship without notice. DRDO will not be responsible for any injuries sustained during the internship period. Candidates are responsible for the careful handling of any equipment provided and may be liable to compensate for damage. No leave, except sick leave (with valid prescription), will be granted; applicable gazetted/closed holidays of the laboratory will apply. Completion of the internship does not guarantee employment at DRDO.
