Vacancies are notified department-wise for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts, plus separate vacancies for Tutor and CAS Specialist (under ICU) posts.

Department-wise Vacancies - Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor

Eligibility follows the National Medical Commission's Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2024 (notified 17 January 2025) and Regulations-2025 referred to in the notification. Requirements differ by post. Academic Qualification: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject, with MBBS and the additional PG qualification registered with the Telangana Medical Council. Experience: Either (i) three years as Associate Professor in the subject in a recognised medical institution, or (ii) a Specialist Medical Officer of the Armed Forces with at least three years of equivalent Associate Professor experience in a teaching hospital of the Armed Forces. General Academic Requirement:

Non-Medical Faculty Qualifications (Pre-clinical/Para-clinical Subjects)

Remuneration is a consolidated, all-inclusive amount, subject to deduction of income tax and any other statutory deductions, as prescribed in G.O.Rt.No.1276, Finance (HRM.VII) Department, dated 16.07.2026. Salary/remuneration is payable strictly on the basis of attendance recorded through the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS), as per applicable Government rules.

Selection is made in accordance with the NMC Post-Graduate Medical Education Board's Teachers Eligibility Qualifications in Medical Institutions Regulations, 2024, and the following criteria set out in the notification: Tutor: Selection is based on the theory marks obtained in MBBS. Assistant Professor: Selection is based on the theory marks obtained in the MD/MS/DNB/MDS/M.Sc. (Clinical) postgraduate qualification. Where marks are not awarded in the qualifying exam, 50% of the maximum marks is considered for this purpose. Teaching Experience: For all cadres/posts, the duration of teaching experience in the respective cadre/post is considered as one of the selection criteria. The appointment is purely temporary and contractual, valid up to 31.03.2027, or until the vacancy is filled through promotion/regular appointment, whichever is earlier. It does not confer any right or claim to regular appointment or future Government employment. Selected faculty are eligible for 15 days of Casual Leave and 5 Optional Holidays per calendar year, on a cumulative basis, subject to applicable rules.
