CA Intermediate September 2026 Exam Timings

Knowing the correct reporting and exam timing in advance helps candidates avoid last-minute confusion on exam day. Here's what ICAI has specified for Intermediate papers.

All Intermediate papers will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (IST), with a duration of 3 hours each. Candidates will get an advance reading time of 15 minutes, from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM IST, before the exam begins. It is important to note that the exam schedule will remain unchanged even if any exam date falls on a public holiday declared by the Central or State Government.

A late fee of ₹600 (for Indian/Kathmandu centres) or US $10 (for overseas centres) applies to forms submitted after the regular deadline. Fees can be paid online via Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay, Net Banking, or BHIM UPI.

ICAI conducts the Intermediate exam across a wide network of domestic and international cities to ensure accessibility for candidates nationwide.

The exam will be held across 29 states/union territories in India, covering major cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Lucknow, along with numerous tier-2 and tier-3 cities. Overseas, the exam will be conducted at three international centres: Bahrain, Dubai (UAE), and Kathmandu (Nepal).

• Dubai Centre: Exam begins at 12:30 PM local time (equivalent to 2:00 PM IST)
• Bahrain Centre: Exam begins at 11:30 AM local time (equivalent to 2:00 PM IST)
• Kathmandu Centre: Exam begins at 2:15 PM Nepal local time (equivalent to 2:00 PM IST)

ICAI reserves the right to withdraw any examination city or centre at any stage without assigning a reason.
