The ICAR CIRCOT Recruitment 2026 notification covers a total of 20 vacancies for Young Professional-I (YP-I) posts distributed across various regional units and postings as follows:

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, or Information Technology, OR a Three-Year Diploma in Engineering and Technology. For Commerce and Information Technology categories, graduation with a minimum of 60% marks is required. For the Commerce category, a minimum of 1 year of experience in the relevant field is also required. Minimum age will be 21 years and maximum age will be 45 years. Relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PH candidates.

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated amount of Rs. 30,000/- per month. TA/DA will be admissible for undertaking domestic tours for official work as per ICAR Rules. Income tax or any other tax liable under prevailing rules will be deducted at source before effecting the payment of monthly salary.

The selected Young Professionals will work under the project titled “State-wise Ginning Outturn (GOT) study”. They may be posted at any regional units and their working hours will be the same as regular employees of ICAR.

The selection process involves a hybrid mode interview. Interviews are scheduled on 03.11.2026 at GTC, Nagpur for Nagpur post; on 04.11.2026 at Mumbai for Guntur, Coimbatore, Dharwad, Sirsa, and Surat posts; and on 05.11.2026 at Mumbai for Mumbai posts. No T.A. / D.A. will be paid for appearing in the interview.

The above posts are purely temporary and contractual in nature. Period of engagement is from 01.11.2026 to 31.03.2027 for Nagpur, Surat, Sirsa, Guntur, Dharwad, and Coimbatore, and from 01.11.2026 to 30.09.2027 for Mumbai. Candidates already employed elsewhere must produce a “No Objection Certificate” from their present employer. The engagement will be up to the completion of the project, subject to satisfactory performance evaluated by the Director ICAR-CIRCOT, Mumbai. Unauthorized absence from the project/work for a continuous period of 08 days without valid reasons shall lead to automatic termination of engagement. Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification of candidature.
