The Central Soil Salinity Research Institute (CSSRI), Karnal, under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), has decided to conduct walk-in interviews to recruit eligible candidates for various national and international research projects on a temporary and purely contractual basis. Selected candidates will receive the following monthly honorarium according to their position: Young Professional-II: ₹42,000 per month (Consolidated) Senior Research Fellow (SRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month + 9% HRA Young Professional-I: ₹30,000 per month The honorarium for each position is determined based on the respective project.

Document Verification Walk-in Interview Evaluation of Qualifications and Experience Final Merit

Different qualifications have been set for each position. The key qualifications are as follows: M.Sc./Master’s Degree in a relevant subject NET/GATE required for some positions Candidates with a four-year undergraduate program are exempted from NET in some cases Candidates with work experience in a relevant field are preferred Candidates with fields such as Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Physiology, Bioinformatics, etc., can apply.

All positions are purely temporary and project-based. Selected candidates cannot claim a regular appointment in the future. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview. The Institute may increase or decrease the number of positions as required. Canvassing of any kind will result in the disqualification of the candidate.
