Types of TN NEET UG 2026 Rank Lists

DMER Tamil Nadu does not release a single common list. Separate, category-wise provisional rank lists are prepared for each quota so that candidates can check their standing under the specific category they applied for.

• Government Quota List: For candidates eligible for government quota seats in government and participating private medical/dental colleges.
• Management Quota List: For candidates seeking admission to management quota seats in private medical and dental colleges.
• 7.5% Government School Quota List: For candidates who studied in a Tamil Nadu government school from Class VI to XII and qualified NEET UG 2026.
• Special Categories List: Covers reserved categories such as Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Ex-servicemen/wards, and sports quota candidates.
• Minority Quota List: For candidates applying to minority medical/dental institutions.
• NRI Quota List: For candidates applying under the Non-Resident Indian quota, subject to submission of NRI sponsorship and supporting documents.

How to Download the TN NEET UG 2026 Rank List PDF

Once DMER activates the rank list link, candidates can follow these steps to check and download their quota-wise rank list:

• Visit the official website:tnmedicalselection.net (or the alternate portal, tnhealth.tn.gov.in).
• On the homepage, click on the "UG Courses" tab and select the MBBS/BDS link.
• Look for the "TN NEET UG 2026 Rank List" or "Provisional Merit List" link for your applicable quota.
• Click on the relevant quota-wise link (Government/Management/7.5% Government School/Special Category, etc.).
• The rank list PDF will open on screen, listing application numbers, candidate names, NEET marks, and rank.
• Use Ctrl+F (or the search function) to locate your application number or name, and download/save the PDF for future reference.

What Happens After the TN NEET UG 2026 Rank List Is Released?

Candidates whose names appear in the rank list become eligible to participate in the next stage of TN NEET UG counselling, which typically includes online choice filling of colleges/courses followed by seat allotment in rounds. As of the time of writing, DMER had not announced the specific choice-filling window, number of counselling rounds, or seat allotment dates for the 2026 cycle. • Only candidates who completed online counselling registration within the notified window (including the one-time reopening) will find their names in the rank list.
