IHMCL Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 30 Systems Engineer (ITS) Posts via GATE Score

Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) is a company jointly promoted by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) along with its Concessionaires and Financial Institutions, incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. IHMCL was established to implement and manage an efficient Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system across national highways and to deploy Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for better highway management and traffic conditions. IHMCL is a non-government company that has adopted the IDA pay pattern.

The number of posts may increase or decrease as per the requirement of IHMCL.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a combination of any of the above engineering branches from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates who are in the final year of their Engineering Degree programme and are yet to receive their final results may also apply, provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria. Such candidates must submit proof of having passed the qualifying examination in the form of a Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate issued by the University/Institute by 31 August 2026, failing which their candidature will be cancelled. The post of Systems Engineer (ITS) carries an E-2 Grade pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,60,000 under the IDA pattern. The indicative monthly salary at the starting Basic Pay of ₹50,000 in E-2 IDA Grade would be approximately ₹1,00,000, which includes Dearness Allowance, Cafeteria Allowance, and House Rent Allowance in X Class Cities. This indicative figure excludes statutory deductions such as EPF contribution and Income Tax.

Selection for the post of Systems Engineer (ITS) is based on the following criteria: Merit is determined on the basis of the valid GATE Score of the year 2025. IHMCL reserves the right to invite candidates for interview as per a cut-off for the respective category, to be decided subsequently by IHMCL. If the number of applications received is large, IHMCL will adopt a shortlisting criterion to restrict the number of candidates called for interaction/interview to a reasonable number, by a method decided by the Selection Committee. For the final merit list, if two or more candidates in the same category have equal scores/marks, the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the merit list. Note: Candidates must enter their GATE Score as mentioned in the official GATE 2025 Scorecard (range: 0 to 1000) while applying.

Reservation benefit under community categories is available only if the candidate's caste is included in the list of reserved communities issued by the Central Government. OBC candidates must submit an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued during the year 2026-2027, clearly indicating that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer. EWS candidates must meet the criteria issued by the Central Government and possess an Income & Asset Certificate based on income for Financial Year 2025-2026, issued after 1 April 2026.
