IIT Gandhinagar is recruiting 01 Project Engineer II post with Ph.D./M.Tech/B.Tech or equivalent qualification and relevant experience. Last date: 15 July 2026.

Total 01 position is announced for Project Engineer II.

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application. Only Indian Nationals are eligible.

Job Description: Senior full stack developer Design, develop, test and implement software solutions Participate in code reviews, security testing, issue resolution Guide day-to-day software and project development Configuration management, project documentation Mentor junior engineers Ensure Backups and Business Continuity Monitor performance of Production and Development Systems Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders Any other assigned activity Skills/Expertise and Personal Attributes: Knowledge of software design, DevSecOps and Agile RDBMS expert (PostgreSQL, NoSQL/MongoDB) Proficient in Python and Django Experience with AWS or Azure cloud GIT, API development, ETL & Data pipelines Ability to write high-quality code and lead technical discussions IT security, virtualization, business continuity knowledge Good communication and team management skills

Applications will be scrutinized and only shortlisted candidates (based on better qualification & relevant experience) will be called for written test and/or personal interview. Selection may comprise written test followed by interview at IITGN premises. Final selection is subject to verification of documents and eligibility.

This is a temporary contractual position for 1 year. Fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee a call for interview.
