Applicants must meet the following eligibility conditions specified in the notification: Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen. Educational Qualification: Must have obtained a PhD degree from a recognized University in any research area relevant to Electrical Engineering within the past 5 years on the last date of submission of application. Candidates must have secured a first class (in terms of grades, etc.) in all preceding levels with a good academic record throughout. The selected Postdoctoral Fellow receives a fellowship of Rs. 1,08,393 per month . In addition, a contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000 per year is provided. Travel support of up to Rs. 2,10,000 per year is limited to visa fees, one-time travel support for overseas faculty/applicants returning to India to take up the assignment, and participation in activities, events, or workshops of the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme upon invitation from the PhD Cell, DIC. The position is full-time, non-transferable, and valid for 1 year.

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling a project, carrying out research work, evaluating and mentoring PhD candidates, participating in collaborative research under the scheme, and participating in workshops and events.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on merit and the needs of the project. Merely possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure a call for an interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified of the interview date and time by email. The interview will be conducted in online mode.
