A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) and Vietnam, with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India (not required for Gorkha subjects of Nepal). Candidates who have passed the required engineering degree , or are in the final year of an engineering degree course in a notified stream, are eligible to apply.
