A total of 350 vacancies (tentative, subject to change based on organizational requirements) have been notified across six core engineering streams: Each core stream includes several AICTE-approved equivalent stream names (for example, "Civil" includes Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture Engineering, and related disciplines). Candidates must apply under the stream that exactly matches their degree certificate/marksheet nomenclature — any mismatch between the stream name on the degree and the stream selected in the online application results in cancellation of candidature. Candidates appearing for the SSB interview for the first time for this type of commission are entitled to AC-3 Tier railway fare (or equivalent bus fare, including reservation/sleeper charges) within Indian limits, for to-and-fro travel.
