A total of 9 vacancies are available across 7 Executive posts under ISTC Recruitment 2026. The category-wise vacancy break-up is given below. ISTC Recruitment 2026 eligibility is defined separately for each post in terms of educational qualification and managerial experience. The minimum qualification for all posts must be from an Institute/Examination Board recognised by AICTE/appropriate statutory authority/State/Central Government. Candidates with equivalent qualifications must submit an Equivalency Certificate issued by a competent authority. Qualification: Degree in Naval Architecture Engineering/Marine Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Experience: 15 years of managerial experience in Ship design/Shipyard/R&D organisation, of which 5 years shall be as in charge of the section or department, along with a proven track record of managing shipbuilding or maritime projects. Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly pay as per the post, with an annual increase of 3% on the monthly pay. All posts are on contract basis for a tenure of five years, extendable for a further period subject to organisational requirements and individual performance. The place of posting for all selected candidates is ISTC, Kochi.

No other mode of payment shall be accepted. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) are exempted from payment of application fee. All other applicants must pay the application fee; candidature is considered only on receipt of the fee.

For all posts, selection is through a Personal Interview. For posts at Sl. No. 4 to 7 (Assistant Manager Technical, Assistant Manager IT, Executive Finance, Executive HR & Administration), the selection process shall also include a Written Test, depending on the number of applications, as decided by ISTC. ISTC may scrutinise applications and shortlist candidates based on eligibility ascertained through uploaded certificates; only shortlisted candidates shall be permitted to attend the selection process. Only candidates who successfully complete certificate verification shall be shortlisted for the Personal Interview. Rank lists shall be prepared based on aggregate marks in the Written Test (where applicable) and Personal Interview. In case of a tie, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.

Incomplete applications, withdrawn applications, or applications in draft status shall not be considered. No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for attending the selection process. Call letters will not be sent by post; shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail/through the ISTC website. Original certificates of shortlisted candidates shall be verified at the time of joining or at any other stage decided by ISTC; candidature is purely provisional until verification. Shortlisted candidates must undergo a medical examination as prescribed by ISTC, and appointment is subject to certification of medical fitness. The rank list validity is up to 18 months from the date of reporting of the last candidate, or until a fresh notification for the same post is issued.
