Passed 10+2 examination. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit, or a higher qualification with Hindi as one of the subjects. Selected candidates must pass the State Eligibility Test in Computer Appreciation and Applications (SETC) within the probation period of two years, extendable by one more year. No increment will be given until the SETC test is cleared; failure to qualify may lead to termination of services. Passed 10+2 examination. Hindi Shorthand speed of 64 words per minute, with transcription at 11 words per minute. English Shorthand speed of 80 words per minute, with transcription at 15 words per minute. Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit, or a higher qualification with Hindi as one of the subjects. Must pass the SETC test within the probation period of two years (extendable by one year), on the same terms as applicable to the Clerk post.

Candidates must be between 18 and 42 years as on the last date of submission of the application form. Age relaxation is applicable as per Haryana Government norms (specific relaxation figures are not mentioned in the notification). Candidates belonging to BC(A), DSC, and UR categories must submit the application online and pay an application fee of ₹200/- , payable in favour of the Principal & Director, MNSS, Rai , payable at Sonipat.

Selection for the post of Clerk will be based on a Written Test, conducted as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Haryana. Selection for the post of Steno-Typist will be based on a Written Test, followed by a Shorthand Test and Typing Test in both Hindi and English. In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age, as determined by the Date of Birth (DOB).
