The applicant must be a citizen of India. As per government orders, an applicant with more than 2 living children, where one child was born on or after 26 January 2001, is not eligible for appointment (with an exception if one child is living and 2 or more children are born in a subsequent single delivery). All required certificates (age and age relaxation proof, education, Home Guard/Ex-servicemen proof, and, where applicable, a Certificate of Identity for transgender persons issued by the District Magistrate) must be held by the candidate as on 6 October 2026 and produced at the time of document verification during the physical test.
