Important: Candidates having any other degree or combination degree (e.g., Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, Construction Engineering) are not eligible. Only valid GATE-2026 marks are considered; marks from any previous or other GATE examination will not be accepted. Nationality: Indian Nationals only.

Minimum Aggregate Marks

Note: Age cut-off date is 19 September 2026. Age relaxation for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST is applicable only for posts reserved for the respective category.

In addition to basic pay, selected candidates get DA (IDA pattern), HRA/Township accommodation, Perks & Allowances under cafeteria approach, Performance Related Pay, and other benefits as per Company Rules. Candidates will be placed on training-cum-probation as per Company Rules. Selected candidates must serve MRPL for a minimum of 3 years from date of joining (including training-cum-probation).

Service Bond

Initial shortlisting is based purely on valid GATE-2026 marks (out of 100) ; marks from any previous/other GATE examination are not considered. Shortlisted candidates are called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) in the ratio of 1:5 (1 post : 5 candidates), category/reservation-wise. In case of a tie in GATE marks, the candidate with higher marks in the essential qualification (degree) will be ranked higher. The final merit list is prepared as per MRPL's prevailing rules; MRPL reserves the right to add, modify or delete any test in the selection process. Document Verification is conducted at the time of Personal Interview. A panel of suitable candidates may be created and kept valid for one year.

Candidates called for GD/PI will be reimbursed travelling expenses (3AC train fare or AC bus fare limited to 3AC fare) by the shortest route; local travel cost is borne by the candidate. PwBD candidates get reimbursement for one attendant as per Government guidelines. Working knowledge of Hindi is desirable. Only one online application should be submitted; if multiple applications are received, the latest one submitted within the stipulated time is considered. Request for change of category or registered mobile/email, once submitted, will not be entertained.
