The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) was opened the Round 2 registration for NEET UG Counselling 2026 on 3rd September 2026 at the official portal. Round 2 is being conducted to fill the remaining MBBS and BDS seats under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and 100% seats of AMU, BHU, JMI, and ESIC institutes. Candidates who registered in Round 1 as well as new eligible candidates must complete a fresh registration and choice filling for Round 2, as per MCC rules.

How Many Rounds of NEET UG Counselling Are There in 2026?

NEET UG Counselling 2026 is being conducted in multiple rounds - Round 1, Round 2, a Mop-Up round, and a Stray Vacancy round - to progressively fill all available seats. Candidates who do not get a seat in Round 1 can participate in Round 2, and those already allotted a seat can choose to upgrade in a later round, subject to MCC's counselling rules.
