The project requires dedicated research support for multi-sited ethnographic data collection across rural and semi-urban locations in Gujarat.

Postgraduate degree in Social Science Discipline in Management/Sociology /Social Work /Economics / Gender Studies /Development Studies / Media Studies Social Sciences or allied disciplines with Minimum 55% marks at the postgraduate level. Familiarity with field-based data collection methods, including interviews, surveys, and observation techniques. Ability to communicate effectively in Gujarati, Hindi, and basic English for field interaction and documentation. Understanding of ethnographic or community-based fieldwork will be an advantage. Basic proficiency in MS Word and Excel for data entry and documentation. Willingness to travel extensively across rural and semi urban locations in Gujarat.

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 20,000/- per month as per ICSSR norms. The engagement is purely on a temporary basis for a duration of five (05) months.

The position requires a field-oriented candidate responsible for supporting extensive multi-sited ethnographic data collection on folk goddess traditions across Gujarat. The role involves direct engagement with communities, documentation of rituals and narratives, and assistance in managing field-level logistics.
