Chief Law Officer/Personnel Officer) in the scale of pay of Rs.13000-18250 with 3 years regular service in the grade in a Major Port Trust or Deputy Secretary or equivalent posts in the respective discipline of GAD with 2 years regular service in the grade and a combined regular service of 7 years in the scales of pay of Rs.10750-16750 & Rs.13000-18250 in the respective discipline of GAD in a Major Port Trust will be eligible. The upper age limit for direct recruitment is 42 years . (Note: The post is to be filled on Deputation basis).

During the period of deputation the employee will have the option either to get his/her pay fixed in the deputation post under the operation of the normal rules or to draw pay of the post held by him/her in his parent department + a deputation allowance in accordance with and subject to the conditions as modified from time to time and such other general or special orders. Dearness allowance, local allowance, children's educational allowance, joining time pay and transfer T.A., travelling allowances, leave and pension, provident fund benefits, leave travel concession, and medical facilities are admissible as per rules.

Selection is based on deputation rules and merit, for which the benchmark in overall grading in the ACRs will not be below "very good".

The officer selected will be governed by Service Rules and Regulations in force as amended from time to time.
