NTPC Assistant Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 15 Posts

Reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities will be provided according to Government of India guidelines. NTPC may increase or decrease the number of vacancies according to organisational requirements.

Candidates must possess both of the following full-time qualifications: A bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 60% marks from a recognised university or institute. A two-year postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication, Journalism, Advertising and Communication, Public Relations or a combination of these subjects, with at least 60% marks. All qualifications must be full-time and obtained from universities or institutions recognised and approved in India.

Where a vacancy is identified for the respective category, SC, ST and PwBD candidates with at least 55% marks in the required qualification are eligible to apply.

The upper age limit for the Assistant Officer post is 29 years . Age will be calculated as on the last date for submitting the online application.

The application fee is non-refundable. Candidates can pay online using net banking, debit card or credit card. Offline payment can also be made through the prescribed SBI pay-in-slip.

NTPC may conduct a multi-stage selection process depending on its requirements. The stages may include: Application shortlisting or screening Written or computer-based test Personal interview If selection is made through an online test and interview, the final result will carry the following weightage: Candidates must qualify separately in the written test and interview. The online test will contain a Subject Knowledge Test and an Executive Aptitude Test . Candidates must qualify separately in both sections.

Selected candidates must undergo a medical examination conducted by the NTPC Medical Board or Medical Officer before joining. No relaxation in the prescribed health standards will be allowed.

Selected candidates may be posted at any NTPC office, station, project, joint venture or subsidiary. The post is transferable at the discretion of NTPC management.

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply. Only online applications will be accepted. The category selected in the online application cannot be changed later. Applications without complete supporting documents may be rejected. Candidates must provide an active and valid email address. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the applicant.
