Candidates must not have completed three years after passing their qualifying examination as on 29 November 2026 . Applicants whose marksheets do not mention the result declaration date must produce a certificate confirming the result publication date from the relevant institution during document verification. Candidates who have previously undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible. Candidates currently pursuing apprenticeship training are not eligible. For Technician Apprentices, candidates with one year or more of training or work experience after acquiring the prescribed qualification are not eligible. All applicants must satisfy the relevant NAPS or NATS scheme conditions.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 8,200 to Rs. 12,300 , depending on the qualification and apprenticeship category. The stipend is payable during the 12-month apprenticeship engagement. ONGC will not provide additional TA/DA, boarding, lodging or transportation financial assistance during training.

Important: ONGC states that it has no obligation to provide regular employment during or after the apprenticeship. Candidates will be relieved from their respective training locations after successful completion of the programme.

Candidates should complete the application through the respective Government NAPS or NATS portal and follow only the instructions provided through the official recruitment channels.

Selection will be based on merit in the prescribed qualifying examination , followed by document verification and completion of the applicable apprenticeship engagement formalities. Application Scrutiny: ONGC will consolidate and verify applications submitted through NAPS and NATS. Provisional Merit List: Merit will be determined using marks obtained in the prescribed qualifying examination for the relevant trade and work centre. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted according to available seats and merit. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must produce original qualification, age, category and other required certificates. Final Selection: ONGC will prepare the final merit list after verifying eligibility and applying the reservation rules. Matriculation certificate or other accepted date-of-birth proof. 10th, 12th, ITI, Diploma or Degree certificate, as applicable. Qualifying examination marksheets. Result declaration certificate, where the passing date is not shown in the marksheet. SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS category certificate, if applicable. PwBD certificate, where applicable. Valid identity proof. The final merit list or selection list will be published on the official ONGC apprenticeship website and/or communicated through the registered email address.
