Nursing Superintendent: Registered Nurse & Midwife (3-yr GNM course) or B.Sc. Nursing Dialysis Technician: B.Sc. + Diploma in Haemodialysis, or 2 yrs experience/in-house training Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II: B.Sc. (Chemistry) + 1-yr Diploma/NTC in Health/Sanitary Inspector Audiologist & Speech Therapist: BASLP, registered with Rehabilitation Council of India Pharmacist (Entry Grade): B.Pharm or Pharm.D, registered under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 Radiographer X-Ray Technician: 10+2 (PCM/PCB) + 2-yr Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technology, or equivalent B.Sc. Age limits are reckoned as on 01.01.2027 and vary by post (see the post table above, 18–40 years depending on post). Note: Relaxations are not cumulative - a candidate eligible on more than one ground gets only the maximum applicable relaxation. SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying against UR vacancies get no age relaxation.

Fee is payable online only (net banking/debit/credit card/UPI). Refunds are credited only to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account and only to candidates who attend the CBT.

Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for PwBD candidates eligible for scribe assistance). Objective, multiple-choice, single-stage CBT; negative marking of 1/3 mark per wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: UR/EWS 40%, OBC-NCL & SC 30%, ST 25% (relaxable by 2 marks for PwBD where vacancies remain unfilled). Candidates equal to the number of vacancies (RRB-wise, 1:1) are called for Document Verification based on CBT merit. DV is followed by a Medical Examination as per the post's medical standard (B1/C1/C2); medically unfit candidates get no alternative post. Final empanelment is based on CBT merit, subject to DV and medical fitness; selection does not itself confer a right to appointment.

Vacancies are provisional and may increase, decrease, or become nil depending on the Railway Administration's requirements. Candidates waiting for final results of the prescribed qualification are NOT eligible to apply. Free Sleeper Class train travel is admissible only to SC/ST candidates (if opted) for CBT/DV/Medical Examination stages. Selected candidates are ordinarily posted to the Railway/Zone of first appointment; transfer requests are not entertained until 5–10 years of service. Selection by RRB does not confer any right to appointment - the RRB only recommends candidates; the Zonal Railway issues the actual offer. Any use of unfair means, impersonation, or false information leads to lifetime debarment from all RRB/RRC examinations and possible legal action.
