South Indian Bank Junior Officer Recruitment 2026 Notification Out – Apply Online for Operations Posts

Candidates must possess a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks . The prescribed educational progression is SSLC/SSC, HSC and graduation under the regular stream (10+2+3). Applicants must have at least two years of experience in banks or Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs) as of the eligibility cut-off date, 30 September 2026. Only candidates domiciled in the following states or Union Territory are eligible: Tamil Nadu Puducherry Maharashtra Goa The Bank will give preference to candidates proficient in the local language. Candidates must also be willing to serve anywhere in India if transferred by the Bank.

The maximum age limit is 28 years as of 30 September 2026 . Candidates must have been born on or after 1 October 1998 , subject to the prescribed relaxation. Candidates claiming SC/ST age relaxation must provide a valid certificate issued by the competent authority when required.

South Indian Bank has specified a total annual Cost to Company (CTC) of Rs. 5.14 lakh for Junior Officer (Operations). The CTC includes NPS contribution, insurance premium and variable pay based on performance. Salary Clarification: The annual CTC is not the same as take-home salary. The notification does not provide a fixed monthly in-hand salary. Other benefits applicable to the Bank's regular employees, including regular-employee staff loans and perquisites, are not applicable to this contractual appointment.

The recruitment is being conducted for selected locations in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Maharashtra and Goa. Candidates can apply for one location from the notified options. Transfer Condition: Although candidates apply for a selected location, the Bank reserves the right to transfer appointed employees anywhere in India.

The Junior Officer (Operations) appointment is initially on a three-year contract , renewable at the sole discretion of the Bank based on performance evaluation. After completing the initial contract or any extension, high-performing employees may be considered for regular employment as Assistant Manager (Scale I) , subject to prevailing Bank norms. This is discretionary and is not a guaranteed promotion or conversion to permanent employment. The notification also states that the mandatory minimum service agreement applicable to regularly recruited staff does not apply to this contractual position.
