The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is at V.N. Purav Marg, Deonar, Mumbai - 400 088. The notice describes it as a Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and a grant-in-aid Institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, established in 1936. It has four campuses: Mumbai (main campus), Hyderabad, Guwahati and Tuljapur (rural campus).

Literacy: Basic reading and writing skills in Marathi/Hindi/English to understand safety labels, chemical instructions and guest requests. Preference will be given to candidates who have a certificate in Hospitality/Housekeeping/Hostel Maintenance. Duration: 6 months to 2 years of experience in a similar role. Relevant environments: prior experience working in hostels, hotels, guest houses, hospitals or student dormitories. Key tasks: proven experience in handling industrial cleaning equipment, chemical safety, bed-making and deep-cleaning bathrooms.
