The engagement carries a fixed monthly remuneration along with a fixed transport allowance, as detailed below. As per the general terms of engagement (Annexure-A), if the contract is extended beyond the first year, the Senior Associate Consultant Grade-I becomes eligible for an increment of ₹10,000 per month over the previous remuneration at each extension, subject to a maximum total engagement period of four years. Dearness Allowance and House Rent Allowance are not admissible. Additional benefits mentioned in the annexure include reimbursement of medical insurance premium up to ₹10,000 per annum and reimbursement for an approved online certification course up to ₹25,000 per annum.

All eligible candidates must upload clearly legible, self-attested copies of the following documents along with the online application: Proof of Date of Birth: Secondary School Certificate or 10th class mark sheet showing date of birth, or a birth certificate. If the Secondary School Certificate does not show the date of birth, another valid government-issued document for age verification must be uploaded. Selection is not based merely on educational qualification and experience. As per the notification, TRAI will also assess the candidate's overall performance during an interview/interaction with the Selection Committee, including analytical ability, communication skills (including technical writing), and interpersonal skills. The initial engagement period is one year, extendable as per TRAI's requirement on mutual consent, up to a maximum total engagement of four years. The engaged consultant will not be treated as a TRAI employee or staff member for any purpose; the relationship is purely contractual. Terms of engagement are governed by TRAI's guidelines under Letter No. A-25/4/(3)/2021-A&P dated 05.08.2025 and the General Terms and Conditions in Annexure-A of the circular.
