Selection is completed in two stages : a qualifying Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), followed by a written competitive examination. Only candidates who clear the Race are permitted to attempt the Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump events. Candidates get up to 3 attempts in each event to meet the qualifying standard. The PST/PET is purely qualifying (no marks are carried forward); candidates found unfit or unable to meet the standards are declared disqualified from the selection process. Only candidates successful in the PST and PET are admitted to the written competitive examination. 100 marks, Objective Type Multiple Choice, offline mode, 2-hour duration; questions relate to the educational qualification prescribed for the post.
