UKSSSC Inter Level Group C Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 553 Junior Assistant, Registrar Clerk and More Posts

UKSSSC has released a post-wise and department-wise breakup of all 553 vacancies. Three departments (State Tax Department, Rural Construction Department, and Employees' State Insurance Scheme) currently show no vacancies in this round; the notification states their numbers will be added later once the concerned departments report their requisition. The table below lists every post and department exactly as given in the notification.

The common baseline qualification across almost all 59 posts is an Intermediate (Class 12) pass or an equivalent exam recognised by the Uttarakhand Board of School Education or the state government, along with a minimum Hindi typing speed of 4000 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) on computer. A number of posts carry additional, post-specific requirements, for example: Computer Assistant, Junior Assistant-cum-Computer Operator, Computer Operator: knowledge of MS Office is also required, and for Computer Operator posts a minimum 6-month computer course is required. The reckoning date for age calculation is 1 July 2026 . Age relaxation: 5 years for Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates, 10 years for Uttarakhand PwBD (Divyang) candidates, 5 years for dependents of freedom fighters, and relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per rules. State Andolankari (movement-recognised) candidates and their dependents get 10% horizontal reservation under a separate provision, not an age relaxation. Selection involves two stages: a written objective-type competitive exam, followed by a qualifying typing test for candidates shortlisted on the written exam. The General Knowledge & General Studies portion (40 marks) covers General Intelligence Test & Reasoning, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, National & International Current Affairs, and Fundamentals of Computers; General Hindi carries 20 marks; and General Knowledge of Uttarakhand carries 40 marks. Each wrong answer attracts a negative marking of one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question. Minimum qualifying marks in the written exam are 45% for Unreserved/EWS/OBC candidates and 35% for SC/ST candidates; candidates scoring below this are treated as not qualified. Vertical (category-wise) reservation: Horizontal (cross-cutting) reservation: EWS reservation is available only to candidates who do not already claim SC/ST/OBC reservation, and requires an EWS certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and the last date of application, based on 2025–26 income for financial year 2026–27. If a candidate claims reservation in a particular category but does not meet the unreserved-category merit cut-off, they will not be adjusted into the unreserved list unless declared eligible on that basis.

A candidate can submit only one online application per post; multiple applications for the same post will result in rejection of all such applications. Candidates must be registered at a Seva Yojan (employment) office in Uttarakhand by the last date of application, or hold a valid domicile/permanent resident certificate of Uttarakhand, or have passed their qualifying exam from an institution recognised in Uttarakhand - one of these is mandatory for candidates applying from outside the purview of the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer is mandatory for candidates already working in Central/State Government or a public sector undertaking, to be submitted before document verification. A male candidate with more than one living wife, or a female candidate who has married a man who already has a living wife, is not eligible for dir
