UP Anganwadi Worker Recruitment 2026 - Apply Offline for 119 Posts

The 119 vacancies are distributed across 14 Anganwadi projects in Sultanpur district. The category-wise (Unreserved, OBC, SC) breakup for each project, as published in the notification, is given below. Only female candidates are eligible to apply for the advertised posts. The candidate must be a resident of the same Gram Sabha (village) or urban Ward for which she is applying for the Anganwadi Karyakatri post.

Minimum qualification: Intermediate (12th) or an equivalent qualification. Maximum qualification considered for merit: candidates with qualifications up to postgraduate level will have their marks considered while preparing the merit list.

Note: The notification states the age must not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2026; it does not mention any age relaxation.

The notification does not describe a written examination or interview. Selection is based on a merit list prepared from educational qualification marks, combined with a fixed order of social priority for candidates residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward. The priority order, exactly as listed in the notification, is: Widow / legally divorced / abandoned (deserted) woman belonging to a family living below the poverty line (BPL) in the same Gram Sabha/Ward gets the first priority. If no such BPL widow/divorced/abandoned woman candidate is found, women belonging to BPL families in the same Gram Sabha/Ward are given priority. As per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 17 September 2025, two women from the same family cannot be appointed as Anganwadi Karyakatri and Anganwadi Sahayika at the same Anganwadi centre.

Only female applicants are eligible for these posts. Applicants must reside in the same Gram Sabha/Ward for which they are applying. If any error is found in the application, or if any fact, data, or educational document is found incorrect or forged, the candidature will be cancelled. The applicant is solely responsible for submitting an error-free application. Income, caste, and residence certificates are valid only if they are digitally verifiable through the Tehsil's online system.
