UPSC Recruitment 2026 Notification Out - Apply Online for 40 Agricultural Engineer, Scientist and More Posts

There are a total of 40 vacancies spread across posts such as Agricultural Engineer, Medical Officer/Research Officer (Unani), Scientist 'B', Civilian Medical Officer, Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor, Assistant Industrial Adviser, and Veterinary Assistant Surgeon.

Qualification: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, with 2 years’ experience in testing/evaluation of agricultural machinery, or 2 years’ teaching/training experience in operation/maintenance of tractors and agricultural implements. Age limit: 33 years (OBC). Qualification: Degree in Unani Medicine from a recognized university/board recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, with enrolment on the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine. The upper age limit varies by post and category, ranging from 33 to 43 years as on the closing date for submission of the online application (the crucial date for determining age limit). Age relaxation of up to 10 years is available for PwBD candidates for posts identified as suitable or reserved for them.

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-07, Level-10, or Level-11 of the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (7th CPC), depending on the post. Several posts also carry Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) in addition to the basic pay.

Selection to these posts is made through Recruitment Test (RT), wherever applicable, followed by an Interview, or by Interview alone. The minimum level of suitability in the interview is 50 marks for UR, 45 marks for OBC, and 40 marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates out of 100 total marks. Candidates must meet the minimum suitability criteria at both the RT and Interview stages, wherever an RT is conducted.
