Category-wise Reservation of Posts

The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam As domicile proof, candidates must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose, or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate, which will be treated as proof of residency Full-time Diploma course in Engineering from any Government/Government-recognized/AICTE-approved Polytechnic or Institution Course duration must be a minimum of 3 years after HSLC or equivalent, or 2 years (Base) + 2 years (Diploma) from a Government/recognized/AICTE-approved institution Minimum 60% marks required in the qualifying examination of the Diploma course (minimum 50% for SC and ST candidates)

Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2026 . Age will be calculated based on the Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council, where the Date of Birth is clearly reflected. No other document will be accepted for age proof.

Pay scale, grade pay, and other allowances will be as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time.

To avail the fee relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL, candidates must produce a certificate of the claimed category issued by the competent authority Applications without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be summarily rejected, with no representation entertained against such rejection Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection

The selection procedure will be notified later, followed by a corrigendum/addendum if required. The Commission will decide the provision for selection for any post/service considering its status, cadre, grade, or the number of applications received. The Commission may also decide to conduct examinations/tests zone-wise, depending on the number of candidates against the districts in each zone. The Commission has the discretion to reduce or increase the number of zones depending on the number of candidates.

Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet clearly indicating Date of Birth Certificates and mark sheets of all examinations from HSLC onwards up to the level of the qualifying (Diploma) examination - each semester/year mark sheet plus the final pass certificate Valid Permanent Resident Certificate (Assam) for educational purpose, or Employment Exchange Registration Certificate, as domicile proof Caste certificate issued by the Government of Assam, for candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, from the competent authority BPL certificate issued by the Government of Assam, wherever necessary Certificate of Benchmark Disability of 40% or more, issued by the competent authority, for PwBD category candidates Certificate of employment against the applied post, issued by the competent authority, for candidates already in regular Government service No Objection
