A total of 37 vacancies are being filled across seven posts. The post-wise vacancy break-up is given below. Reservation points for each post (Open Competition, SC, ST, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C and EWS) are provided in the official notification and will be applied as per Rule 22 of the AP State and Subordinate Services Rules and related Government Orders in force.

Educational qualification requirements are different for each post, as listed below. Additional eligibility conditions applicable to all posts: The candidate must be of sound health and free from bodily defects or infirmities that would render them unfit for the service. The candidate's character and antecedents must qualify them for the service. The candidate must be a citizen of India. A person in a bigamous marriage is not eligible for appointment. A person dismissed from a State or Central Government service, or from an undertaking of the Central/State Government or local/other authorities, is not eligible. A person convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude is not eligible. All seven posts - Record Assistant, Office Subordinate, Sweeper, Scavenger, Cook, Dhobi and Barber - carry a monthly remuneration of Rs. 15,000/- , as this is an outsourcing basis appointment.

The selection procedure is different for the office-based posts (Record Assistant, Office Subordinate) and the skill-based posts (Sweeper, Scavenger, Cook, Dhobi, Barber). The Written Test (up to AP SSC/10th Class standard) covers Telugu Language (10 marks), English Language (10 marks), General Knowledge (15 marks), Mathematics (10 marks) and Social Studies (10 marks). The Computer Practical Test covers practical knowledge of MS Office. The Interview assesses communication skills, general awareness, aptitude for office work, personality, attitude and suitability for the post. This recruitment is restricted to candidates who studied in the erstwhile East Godavari District only, based on Class IV to X study certificates as per the Presidential Order. Selection is on an outsourcing basis; selected candidates will not be regarded as members of the regular service and will not have any preferential right to any other Government appointment.
