BEL has announced a total of 5 vacancies for the post of Havildar (Security) at its Kotdwar Unit. The category-wise vacancy breakup is given below. The reservation is 100% for Ex-servicemen. The abbreviations used are: UR = Unreserved, OBC (NCL) = Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), SC = Scheduled Caste, EWS = Economically Weaker Section.

Candidates must be citizens of India. Candidates should possess the qualification of SSLC (10th Pass) along with 15 years of service experience in the Indian Armed Forces, as on 01.08.2026. Candidates should have an "Exemplary" or "Very Good" service record. Medical category should be "AYE" / "SHAPE-I". Fire training and possession of a driving license is desirable. Registration at the District Sainik Welfare Board is mandatory. Ability to read, write and speak Hindi/English is essential. Candidates must possess Experience Certificates/Discharge Certificates/Documents issued by the previous and present employer clearly indicating the period of employment and post held. The upper age limit as on 01.08.2026 is 43 years for Unreserved (UR) category candidates. Selected candidates will be placed in Wage Group-III / Career Path-III with the following pay scale, along with admissible allowances as per company rules. In addition to Basic Pay, selected candidates will be entitled to other allowances such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Perquisites at the rate of 30% of the annual basic pay, reimbursement of medical expenses, Group Insurance, PF, Pension, and Gratuity, as per company rules.

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for the selection process, which consists of the following stages: Physical Endurance Test: Eligible candidates will undergo a Physical Endurance Test at Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. A self-declaration form for fitness and willingness will need to be submitted at the time of the test, and the form will be provided by BEL on the day of the test. Written Test: Candidates who qualify in the Physical Endurance Test will be shortlisted for the Written Test, also to be held at Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. The date of the Physical Endurance Test and Written Test will be intimated later.
