Eligibility is largely common across most posts, with additional trade-specific requirements for certain skilled posts: For Sr. No. 1 to 24, candidates must generally have passed 10th/SSC, or an equivalent examination in the Marathi subject carrying a 100-mark question paper as per the respective post's educational requirement. Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Marathi. For several posts (Sweeper, Ward Attendant, Ambulance Attendant, Tailor, etc.), candidates must also pass a trade/skill test conducted by the department.

As on 01 July 2026, a candidate's age must not be less than 18 years and not more than 38 years.

Contractual employees will not be entitled to any Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), or similar benefits in addition to the fixed consolidated remuneration.

The application fee is Rs. 1,028 (Rs. 870 + 18% GST of Rs. 158), payable at the Cashier Department (Room No. 65), 1st Floor, D Wing, Dr. Rustom Narsee Cooper Hospital, between 22 July 2026 and 30 July 2026, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). The fee is non-refundable under any circumstances. The photocopy of the fee receipt must be attached to the application.

A merit list will be prepared based on the prescribed educational qualification and the marks obtained in the interview. The selection list will be prepared from candidates in the merit list. The interview date will be displayed on the hospital notice board and communicated to candidates by phone. Candidates must reach the interview venue at least half an hour before the scheduled interview time.

For Medical, Para-medical, and Administrative category posts, the following self-attested photocopies must be attached to the application: Fully filled Application Form Educational Certificates - 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates, plus documents required as per the qualification for the applied post (Degree/Diploma/Post-Graduation/Fellowship/MSCIT/Typing Certificate, etc.) Registration Certificate from the relevant council, e.g., Maharashtra Medical Council/Pharmacy Council (as required by the post's qualification) Experience Certificates Aadhaar Card PAN Card Address Proof - Driving Licence, Electricity Bill, Voter ID, or Ration Card Photocopy of Marriage Registration Certificate, for married women candidates All original documents must also be carried for verification at the time of the interview.

Applications submitted earlier to this or any other office will not be considered. BMC has not authorized any individual or organization to sell or accept applications on its behalf. Applications without the prescribed fee receipt attached will not be considered valid. Applications received by post or submitted online will not be considered. Character and antecedent verification will be conducted through the concerned police station before a temporary appointment is given. The temporary service period at any one time will not exceed 89 days. Service may be terminated without prior notice by the Dean if performance during the temporary period is found unsatisfactory.
