A total of 18 posts of Swayampaki (Cook) are being filled, with 1 post reserved for persons with disabilities (PwD, 4% reservation). Out of the total vacancies, 17 candidates will be placed on the selection list and 4 candidates on the waiting list. The notification states that posts reserved for persons with disabilities will be filled in the future, once the Bombay High Court finalises its reservation roster/policy for such posts.

The candidate's character and conduct must be good. The candidate must have passed at least Class 4 (4th standard). The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak both Marathi and Hindi. Candidates holding a "Cook Course" certificate from a recognised institution will be given preference. The candidate must have practical knowledge of and experience related to cooking. The candidate must be able to prepare all types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.

The minimum educational qualification required is a pass in Class 4 (4th standard). Candidates who have cleared a higher qualification (10th, 12th, or diploma) but do not possess a 4th standard mark sheet must enter a notional/assumed score of 50% (50 out of 100) for the 4th standard qualification while filling the application. Candidates who have completed a recognised cooking diploma or certificate course are preferred.

Selected candidates will be paid as per the 7th Pay Commission, Pay Matrix Level S-3, in the pay range of Rs. 16,600 to Rs. 52,400 , along with other allowances admissible as per applicable rules.

No fee is required at the time of submitting the application. However, only candidates who are shortlisted after screening of applications must submit a fee of Rs. 200 (Rupees Two Hundred only) in the form of a Demand Draft or Postal Order drawn in favour of "Registrar, High Court Bench at Aurangabad" , payable from a nationalised bank. This fee is non-refundable and must be carried at the time of the practical examination.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for the following stages, carrying a total of 50 marks: Candidates who fail the practical cooking test are not eligible to appear for the remaining stages (physical fitness test and interview). Final selection and the waiting list will be prepared strictly on the basis of merit (total marks obtained across all three stages).

If a candidate submits more than one application, only the last (most recently submitted) application will be considered. The 4th standard mark sheet is compulsory; candidates lacking this certificate must follow the notional-marks instruction mentioned under Educational Qualification. Candidates with grade-based (non-percentage) school mark sheets must obtain a converted percentage/marks statement from their school and submit it with the application. Preference will be given to candidates holding a cooking diploma/certificate, or with one year or more of experience as a cook/chef in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
