A total of 6 vacancies have been notified for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff under Advt. No. 11/2026. The category-wise break-up is as follows. The Competent Authority has the right to cancel the recruitment process at any stage for administrative reasons, and the number of vacancies indicated is provisional and may increase or decrease.

The essential qualification for the MTS post is SSC/10th Standard from a recognised Board or Institution. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum requirement; mere possession of the qualification does not entitle a candidate to be called for the written examination. Applicants must have attained 18 years of age and must not have exceeded the upper age limit of 25 years (for UR candidates) as on the last date prescribed for receipt of hard-copy applications. SC/ST/OBC(NCL) candidates who apply against Unreserved (UR) posts will not get age relaxation and will be treated at par with general candidates, though application fee exemption still applies to SC and ST candidates in such cases. The MTS post carries Pay Level-01 in the Pay Matrix as per the 7th Central Pay Commission, with a pay range of ₹18,000 to ₹56,900 per month. In addition to pay, selected candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA), National Pension System (NPS), medical facilities/reimbursement, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), Children Education Allowance (CEA), and other benefits admissible under CSIR/Government of India rules.

A non-refundable application fee of ₹500/- is payable only through a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of "The Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories," payable at Bengaluru. The candidate's name and father's name must be written on the back of the DD. No other mode of payment is accepted. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other recruitment process.

Selection is through an OMR-based Objective Type Multiple Choice Competitive Written Examination, conducted only in Bengaluru. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as screened by the Screening-cum-Selection Committee will be called for the exam, and a merit list will be prepared based on exam performance. Each correct answer carries 3 marks. In case of a tie in the merit list, it will be resolved in order by: fewer negative marks, older date of birth, earlier acquisition of the essential qualification, and finally alphabetical order of first names.

Applicants must be citizens of India. Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of original documents; false or incorrect information will lead to cancellation at any stage, including after appointment.
